Two parts can weigh the same 200 grams. One is a six-hour box, the other a seventeen-hour support nightmare. A per-gram card is wrong about one of them.
What a job costs to make
Filament is the cheap part. The expensive input is time: reading, fixing, slicing, loading, measuring, packing, writing back.

One small part takes the same half hour of hands as ten. That is why a tiny job is not a tiny price.
